International Chamber Music Trio in Concert

Barrington United Methodist Church announces an afternoon of chamber and vocal music to benefit Family Service of the Barrington Area Saturday, July 14 at 4:00 p.m. The concert will feature International Chamber Music Trio, Nancy Braithwaite, clarinet, Amarins Wierdsma, violin, and Nicholas Harris, piano, performing works by Joannes Brahms, Bela Bartok, Frederic Chopin, and Cesar Franck. The trio will be joined by Rosalyn Wesley, soprano.

Nancy Braithwaite is a graduate of Barrington High School and the renowned Eastman School of Music. At the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts), Nancy is Professor of Clarinet and Chamber Music.

As a chamber musician, Nicholas Harris has had many engagements with musicians in Holland, which include playing with the Engadin Quartet and violinist Amarins Wierdsma.

Amarins Wierdsma is a student at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.  Amarins is not only very active as a chamber musician, she has also performed as soloist with orchestra in concertos. In April 2011, Amarins went on tour with pianist Didel Bish and soprano, Nikki Treurniet, to The United States on invitation of the Netherlands-America Foundation.

Rosalyn Wesley is a member of the Chancel and Joyful Noise choruses at Barrington United Methodist Church. She has sung for several years with The Chicago Master Singers, and is currently a member of The Elgin Choral Union. Loving diversity in music, she is also a member of The M & M’s, a contemporary gospel chorus which performs at various venues throughout the northwest suburbs.

Dinner and fellowship will follow the concert. A free will
offering will be accepted to benefit Family Service of the Barrington Area,
which has provided quality counseling for over 50 years. Barrington United
Methodist Church is located at 98 Algonquin Road (at Rte. 59) in Barrington
