Barrington Students Take Imagination Under The Sea

Barrington, IL – May 24, 2012 – Janet and Doug McAllister, owners of Douglas Automotive, recently announced the winners of the company’s fourth annual Elementary School Art Contest. This year’s theme took hundreds of children’s imaginations into the deep blue as they sketched, colored, and painted “A Car That Can Swim!” 

“Whether they grow up to be doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, or anything in between,” stated Janet McAllister, “creativity and innovation are important traits that these children will use in their futures. This program is unique as it encourages children to use their imagination as much as they can.”

All entries in the competition received Culvers gift certificates. First place awards in each grade category, as well as the Best of Show entry received $50 cash prizes. Awards were presented to:
