Home Sale Prices Drop in Barrington
In 2012, Barrington homes sold for 17 percent less than they did in 2011, Chicago Magazine reports.
Home sale prices in the Barrington area are down, according to a recent Chicago Magazine article.
The article profiled what homes cost in several suburbs and Chicago neighborhoods. The magazine’s data showed the median sale price for a Barrington home in 2012 was $368,000, down 17 percent from 2011 and 35.8 percent since 2006. There were 217 sales last year in the village, with homes staying on the market an average of 169 days, the magazine reports.
