Independence Day Marches Into Barrington

Fourth of July Parade Set for Monday, July 4.

The annual Barrington Independence Day Parade will step off from Barrington High School at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4.  This year’s festivities will celebrate the “Traditions & Memories” of July Fourth with vibrant bands and colorful floats representing a variety of community organizations and businesses.  The founding members of the Barrington VFW Post 7706 will serve as the Grand Marshals.

The Jesse White Tumblers, South Shore Drill Team and the Lawn Chair Dads are just a sampling of the groups that will entertain the crowds lining Main Street from the high school to Wool Street.

Spectators are encouraged to bring non-perishable items for the Parade Committee’s annual Food Drive to help the Barrington and Cuba Township food pantries. Volunteers will be collecting the donations in shopping carts along the route.
