Lake Cook Road Closure Scheduled for Next Week

A portion of Lake Cook Road will be completely closed from June 11-15 for Canadian National Railway repairs.

There is a major construction alert for Barrington drivers to be aware of next week. 

Beginning on Monday, June 11, Lake Cook Road will be completely closed between Route 59 and Hart Road for Canadian National Railway repairs. The road should re-open sometime on Friday, June 15. 

The detour route for drivers is Hart Road to Route 14, and Route 14 to Route 59.

"There will be signs going up. They already have some signs up now letting people know that it's going to be closed. Additional signs will go up Monday morning first thing. They will be starting around 6 a.m.," Mark Werksman of the Barrington Public Works Department said. 

The construction is scheduled to be completed on Friday, June 15 weather permitting.
