Barrington Countryside Fire Protection firefighters have a massive fire the destroyed a South Barrington home but were still putting out smoldering pockets of fire Tuesday afternoon.
No injuries were reported in the fire at Terra Vita Drive. According to reports, a mother and two children were able to escape the fire.
Fire departments from around the area, including Cary, Algonquin, Carpentersville and Bartlett assisted with tanker trucks hauling water to the scene since the area has no fire hydrants.
No details on the cause or damages estimate were immediately available.
