Suzuki Strings Holiday Concert “Music Around the World”

Holy Light: A Candlelight Service of Carols

Hawthorn Woods Tree Lighting

When: Friday, Dec. 7, 6 p.m.,

Where: Village Hall, 2 Lagoon Drive, Hawthorn Woods

Kick off the holiday season with the Annual Hawthorn Woods Tree Lighting at Village Hall, and then come meet Santa Claus, enjoy the lighting of the village evergreen tree, juice and cookies and holiday tunes by local choirs.


Main Street Libertyville's Dickens of a Holiday

When: Saturday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m.,

Where: 413 N. Milwaukee Ave. Libertyville

Be sure to stop by Cook Park during the hours of 10 am – noon or 1-3 pm where Santa in his sleigh and Mrs. Claus will welcome all children. It is the perfect setting for a holiday photo.


Choral Christmas Cantata

Where: Sunday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m.,

Where:  St. Peter United Church of Christ, 47 Church St, Lake Zurich

The Chancel Choir of St. Peter United Church of Christ will present the Christmas Cantata "And We Beheld His Glory" by David Danner during the regular morning worship. Everyone is welcome.


New Life Lutheran Advent Festival

When: Sunday, Dec. 9, 5 p.m.,

Where: 910 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich

New Life Lutheran will host an Advent Festival. It starts with a Potluck Dinner at 5:00pm, and is followed by Family Advent crafts and activities at 5:45pm. At 6:30 p.m. there will be a service of Nine Lessons & Carols, which will conclude at 7:30 p.m.
