Barrington Arts Council presents the fourth annual Art in the Park. The event will highlight local adult artists in the Barrington Community ranging from poets to visual artists to storytellers and singer/songwriters.

3rd Annual Plant Exchange

Norton’s U.S.A. is hosting this popular event for the third year in a row. Bring seeds, plants, bulbs, gardening books, flowers, vegetables, or anything else you have too much of and would like to exchange. Coffee, tea and snacks will be served. Please do not bring weeds or invasive plants.  For more information, call 847-382-8872.

An Afternoon Under the Big Top

, May 19, 2 to 4 p.m.  

Enjoy this circus-themed child and parent party at Barrington Dance Academy. The event will include a circus parade, ballet performance, circus games and prizes, food and drinks, and raffles. The cost is $25 per person. R.S.V.P. to 847-382-6333.

Wellness Place Community Center Cancer Walk/Run

Arboretum of South Barrington, 100 W. Higgins,  May 20, 8 a.m. 

Walk in the one mile event, or participate in the 5K run, all in the name of charity.

Organize a team, join a team of family and friends and enjoy a day of fellowship and fun celebrating and honoring those touched by cancer.

Wellness Place, Cancer Education and Support will celebrate cancer survivors, their families and caregivers at the 3rd Annual Wellness Place Community Cancer Walk/Run on Sunday, May 20, at The Arboretum of South Barrington. After the races, there will be a balloon release ceremony to include survivors and those who have been touched by cancer.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m., opening ceremonies take place at 9 a.m., and the 5K Run will follow. The 1 Mile Walk will begin shortly after the 5k Run.

Countryside Cares 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run

, May 19, 9 a.m.  

Join Countryside Elementary School us for a fun 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, May 19 at 9 a.m. The event, which takes place at the school, will benefit Walk On Farm. There will be refreshments and entertainment for the kids!
