Weekend Planner: BHS Play, Barrington Kids Fest

Enjoy the outdoors, a great high school play and more this weekend.

 

WHAT: A fun family event combining the 11th annual Community Kite Fly and 2nd annual Family Nature Fest. The event is hosted by the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club, the Barrington Park District, and Leave No Child Inside of the Greater Barrington and Lake Zurich area and three community-oriented and non-profit organizations.

Bike the Ride will also be happening during the event. Ride your bike through Cuba Marsh, decorate your bike with community members, and learn about helmet and safety checks. This event is in support of Ride for 3 Reasons.

WHEN: Saturday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

COST: Free, however food is available for purchase.

 

Barrington High School Spring Play 

WHAT: Support the arts at by coming out to watch “Amost Maine”. The play is a story about residents living in the town of Almost, Maine as they find themselves falling in and out of love in the most unexpected ways.

This is retiring BHS Theatre Director and longtime BHS Teacher, Jon Lynn's final theatrical performance.

WHERE: Barrington High School Auditorium

WHEN: May 5  at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

COST: $7/adults; $5/students; Seniors free. For more information, please call 847-842-6500.

 

Citizens for Conservation's 16th Annual Native Plant, Shrub and Tree Sale

WHEN: Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
