Weekend Planner: Concours D'Elegance, Free Music Concert

The annual classic car show is back in Barrington on July 14 and 15. For the first time in the event’s history the public will be welcomed to view the 120 classic cars at the previously invitation only gala.

What: Space to Ride Road Rally, July 14 9 a.m.

Where:

Cost: Tickets are $75 per car and can be purchased at http://barringtonconcours.ticketleap.com/rally-tickets/

What: Barrington Concours d'Elegance, July 15 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Where:

Cost: $20 online and $25 at the door. Free for Children 12 and under and members of the armed services.

Drop-In Macaroni Craft 

Kids ages 2-5 can enjoy a fun macaroni craft at the on Saturday, July 14 from 10 to 11 a.m. With a caregiver, drop by the library to make some fun macaroni art. The cost is free. 

Kitchen Chemistry

There are 180 free tickets available for this exciting event for kids in Kindergarten and up at the . Steve Belliveau will help kids get excited about science through awesome experiments and audience participation. Tickets area available beginning at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 14 in Youth Services. The show runs from 2 to 2:45 p.m. No registration is required. 

Enjoy the music of a violin, piano and vocal trio as they serenade the crowd at on Saturday, July 14 at 4 p.m. The concert is free, however they do request a donation to benefit  Family Service Agency of the Barrington Area.

Bugs & Butterflies at Stillman Nature Center

Join Stillman's naturalist and search the nature center's fields for butterflies, beetles and other bugs. If you've got a bug net at home, bring it along! Call 847-428-OWLS to make reservations. Stillman Nature Center, 33 W. Penny Road, South Barrington.
