FREE College Planning Workshop

COLLEGE FUNDING TEAM TO PROVIDE FREE COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS TO PARENTS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

A community workshop will be held on April 29 OR May 1 to teach parents of high school students about the opportunities available to help them finance their children’s college education.
“The fact is, there’s a whole range of tools, loans, grants and techniques that parents can use to help their children get the education of their choice,” said Cory Freeman, College Funding Specialist. “Unfortunately, few parents are aware of the options available to them and either spend far too much money out of their own pockets or force their children to attend a cheaper, lower quality school than one they should have and wanted to attended.”

Are you prepared to pay the following annual attendance costs?

NIU $28,408
ISU $27,270
U of I—Urbana $29,594
Elmhurst College $41,832

The workshop will take parents through the intricacies of the College Funding System from FAFSA applications to Student Aid Reports with descriptions of all the major student grants and loans.  The workshops will be free to the public; high school parents and students are encouraged to attend. This workshop will be held at the Eagles Club, 325 Raymond Street, Gilberts, IL from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  Seating is limited to first 30 people. Attendees are invited to reserve their seats by calling (847) 888-3929 or reserving online at www.collegefundingteam.com.
