Open Call for Barrington Nutcracker Auditions

Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble announces auditions for the 2013 Nutcracker Ballet - open to dancers ages 7 to adult from all regional studios

Sunday, September 8th
12:00 - 12:30  Ages 7-9, last names A-L
12:45-1:15      Ages 7-9, last names M-Z
1:30 - 2:15      Ages 10-12, last names A-L
2:30 - 3:15      Ages 10-12, last names M-Z
3:30 - 4:15      Ages 13 and Up (Intermediate & Advanced/ Professional Dancers)

*Roles are being cast for both male and female dancers ages 7 to adult.  Dancers from ALL studios are invited to audition.
* $20 registration fee, checks may be made payable to BYDE
*Dancers should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their audition to register and warm up
*Dancers should wear ballet classroom attire (leotard & pink tights for girls, black pants or shorts and white t-shirt for boys).  Girls hair should be in a bun.  Bring pointe shoes if applicable.
*Dancers must be 7 by December 1, 2013 to audition.
*BYDE's Nutcracker performances are December 7, 8 & 9 at Barrington High School and rehearsals are EVERY SUNDAY in September, October and November at Barrington Dance Academy, 758 W. Northwest Highway, Barrington, IL.  Technical and Dress rehearsals will be held in the afternoon & evening December 1-5 at Barrington High School.  If cast, DANCERS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL SCHEDULED REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES.
* Nutcracker performance contracts will be available for review at the audition.
*Casting will be posted by Wednesday, September 11th at www.BYDE.org and at Barrington Dance Academy.
