Run the Shores at Lake Barrington 5K Race & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, September 21 at 8 a.m.

Run or walk through picturesque Lake Barrington Shores to raise funds for Cuba Cares

The Lake Barrington Shores Community Homeowners Association and the Village of Lake Barrington are co-hosting the 3rd annual 5K race and 1 mile fun run/walk on Saturday, September 21, at 8 a.m., to benefit Cuba Cares.

Racers and walkers begin at the Market Place Shopping Center located at Route 59 and Kelsey Road and will wind their way through the picturesque Lake Barrington Shores community. Run or walk, solo or with a group, all ages are encouraged to participate in this worthy cause. 

Adults:  $20 Pre-registration             
             $25 Day of event beginning at 7 a.m.

Children (12 and under):  $10 pre-registered and day of event

Rain date:  Sunday, September 22

Race bag and Run the Shores t-shirts will be provided to all participants.  Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers by age category.  A raffle will be held following the race with prizes valued up to $200 from area businesses.  Refreshments will be provided.  New for 2013, the race course has been USATF certified and the 5K run will be professionally timed by RaceTime with timely results available at the finish and posted on multiple web sites.
