Author Jim Proebstle presents "Fatal Incident" story at Noon Rotary Club luncheon

During the weekly Rotary luncheon on Tuesday, May 1, at 12 noon, award-winning author and Barrington-area resident Jim Proebstle will discuss his best-selling book, Fatal Incident, which explores the little-known true story of a downed World War II transport plane flown by a young pilot from Minnesota. To this day, the cause of the 1944 crash on Alaska’s Mount McKinley remains a mystery. No bodies were recovered and none of the 20 people onboard the ill-fated flight were ever heard from again. Proebstle’s novel and his unique style of storytelling explore the possibility of a military conspiracy and espionage that led to the crash. The $15-per person luncheon is open to the public.
