Community Corner

Cookie Walk

Look out Martha Stewart!  The ladies of CCB are at it again!

It is that time of year again and the ladies of Community Church of Barrington are gearing up for another awesome Cookie Walk!

This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, December 11, 2010 and will run from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  CCB doors will open at 9:00 a.m. for early ticket disbursements.

This isn't a cake walk where you are winning something.  You pay $10 for a 1 lb box, walk around tables overflowing with THOUSANDS of homemade treats, pack your own box (wearing latex gloves so no germ issues).  It is that simple!!  These make great gifts for family, teachers, mailmen, etc.... and they come in handy to have in the freezer if you have unexpected company!!!

Who wouldn't love to have amazingly decorated homemade cookies without the expense of ingredients, the time commitment, the mess?  With the hectic pace we all live in and especially at that time of year the Cookie Walk is a great deal!

Money earned from Cookie Walk is donated to local organizations.  In years past money has been donated to WINGS, Samaritan Counseling, Journey from PADS to Hope, etc...
