Warm Wishes Coat Drive to Benefit Home of the Sparrow this Holiday Season

Laura B Salon, located at 113 South Cook Street in Barrington, is hosting a Warm Wishes Coat Drive to benefit Home of the Sparrow from December 1 – December 20. 

Drop off a gently used or new coat, mittens, hats or blankets and in return, Laura B Salon will be handing out a $10 coupon for any hair service to be redeemed in January or February 2011.  "I opened my new salon in October and feel very blessed that everything has gone so well," says Melissa Pounds, owner of Laura B Salon.  "I wanted to do something that was important to me and would help benefit my community at the same time to pass along my gratitude."

Home of the Sparrow (www.h-o-s.org) is a non-profit organization started in 1986.  They provide transitional housing and supportive services for homeless women and their children in McHenry County.  One Warm Coat (www.onewarmcoat.org) is a project based out of San Francisco that helps put people in touch with organizations that are in need of coats.
