Pepper Family Pledges $5 Million to Renovate Northwestern Baseball Field

The money has been pledged as part of a challenge presented to the university by the Richard and Roxelyn Pepper. If the university can raise the rest of the amount needed to renovate Rocky Miller Park by Oct. 1, the Peppers will pitch in the last $5 million. Renovations needed include a new scoreboard, seating, locker rooms, training facilities and upgrades to the press box. Rocky Miller Stadium is named after Roxelyn Pepper’s late father, who was president of Northwestern University from 1949 to 1970, the newspaper reports.
