Dogs and Cats Get Their Own 'Whole Foods' Store in Kildeer

Barrington area gets second Kriser's, all-natural pet food store.

 

Natural foods shoppers may soon be flocking to Kildeer, not only for the human members of their family, but for their pets as well.

Krisers, an all-natural pet food retailer, will open next door to Whole Foods Kildeer. Both stores will open to the public on Wednesday, March 6, and it is no coincidence.

“It’s perfect really. We’re excited because there’s a lot of crossover audience seeking a natural solution. Kriser’s offers the best all-natural pet food,” said Danielle Mozeleski, of Formula PR, Inc. Kriser’s public relations firm. 

The Kildeer store, at 20291 N. Rand Rd., will be Kriser’s ninth location. The pet retailer also has a store in South Barrington.

Recently named Best Overall Multi-Unit Pet Retailer in the U.S. at the 2013 Global Pet Expo, Kriser’s offers all-natural pet foods, treats, toys and supplies, as well as in-store services such as grooming, expert classes and pet birthday parties.

Kildeer Mayor Nandia Black and her four-legged companion, Brandy, will lead the ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, March 6, at 11 a.m. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Kildeer store will host a weekend-long celebration with grand opening discounts, free nail trimmings and giveaways on March 9, and 10. Complimentary photos with your pets will be taken on March 9, from noon to 4 p.m. 

The grand opening ceremony will include Kriser’s special charitable partner, Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter.  For every pound of dog food purchased on March 9, Kriser’s will donate one pound of dog food to Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter. 

According to the news release:  Kriser’s stores immerse pet owners in all-natural products that have been hand-selected by Brad after a rigorous evaluation to ensure quality, which are then stamped “Kriser’s Approved.” Seeing that seal of approval, customers can be confident they are buying the best for their pets.
