BHS Alumna Bringing Holiday Joy to Needy Children

Barrington High School graduate Mary Gerbich leads the committee at the University of Dayton that organizes the annual "Christmas on Campus" program, believed to be one the country's largest campus service events.

Mary Meg Gerbich, a 2010 graduate of Barrington High School, will play a pivotal role in keeping alive a 50-year tradition at the University of Dayton that has resulted in an extra-special Christmas for tens of thousands of children nationwide, according to a press release.

Gerbich is a School of Business Peer Supervisor at the University of Dayton and an Executive Consultant at Flyer Consulting, in Dayton, Ohio, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Gerbich helps lead the hospitality committee, part of the all-student group organizing Christmas on Campus on Dec. 6, believed to be one of the nation's largest single-day, on-campus community service events.

University of Dayton students provide school children with toys, hats, gloves and Christmas memories they might not otherwise experience. Many of them also "adopt" Dayton school children and lead them through a winter wonderland with Santa, arts and crafts and more.
