Local Runners Headed to State

The Barrington girls cross-country will be headed to state after faring well at the Class 3A Schaumburg sectional over the weekend. 

The girls placed fourth overall at the sectional and were led by freshman Caroline Reynolds who finished in fifth place with a time of 18:04, according to the Illinois High School Association website. 

Others on the Barrington team who will compete at state include: sophomore Lauren Conroy who placed 17th at the sectional with a time of 18:39; sophomore Arushi Agarwal, who finished in 29th place with a time of 19:01; senior Kristen Patino, who finished in 42nd place with a time of 19:13; senior Jenna Privatsky, who finished in 49th place with a time of 19:21; junior Lauren Cropsey, who finished in 95th place with a time of 20:18; and junior Theresa Nepomuceno, who finished in 103rd place with a time of 20:45, according to the IHSA. 

The state boys and girls cross-country meet will be held on Nov. 9 at Detweiller Park in Peoria.
