Barrington-Area Cemetery Gets Mention in 'Chicago Haunted Handbook'

White Cemetery near Barrington and Cuba Road, the only road leading to the cemetery, are featured in in the Chicago Haunted Handbookwhich was written by ghost hunter Vince Sheilds, who grew up in Elgin, and Jeff Morris, founder of a ghost tour company in Ohio, according to the Daily Herald. 

The ghost stories surrounding White Cemetery and strange sightings on Cuba Road are included in the book, according to the article. Shields and Rosko are a part of Chicago Paranormal Investigators and investigate supernatural reports throughout the Chicagoland area. 

"If you grew up in the Chicagoland area especially the northwest burbs, odds are you've heard of White Cemetery. It's infamous for its black car cruising down Cuba Rd, dark shadows flying at you from every which way and full body apparritions presenting themselves from behind the gates," according to the Paranormal Chicago Investigators website.

The Chicago Haunted Handbook recently hit store shelves, according to the book's Facebook page. The handbook includes stories of haunted cemeteries, bars and restaurants throughout the area, according to ABC 7 Chicago.
