The Barrington 9u Travel Baseball Team finished as runners-up for the July 13-15, Six Flags Great America Summer Games Baseball Tournament.   This was Barrington's third strong 2012 tournament performance.  They previously won both the May Cougar Silver Star Baseball Tournament held in Vernon Hills IL and the July Barrington Summer Classic Baseball Tournament.

In addition to the Barrington Broncos, the Six Flags Great America Tournament included teams from Crystal Lake (Slam), Cyclones, Deerfield (Knights), Lake Bluff, Northbrook (Black), Oak Creek, Roselle (Rage), Tinley Park (Bulldogs), Waukesha (Blazers-Giants) and the West Suburban Area (Wildcats).  Barrington went 5-0 before falling to fellow McHenry Baseball League (MCBL) member, the Crystal Lake Slam in the championship game.
