The Real Estate Market And The True Price of Your Happiness.

Are you waiting for home prices to rise before you move on with your life? Get ready for a long wait!

The Barrington area real estate market is in full bloom!  History shows us that the spring market is the most active season for home buying and selling. Currently this year, homes sales are up, inventory still low and the cost of money is very inexpensive.  We are seeing multiple offers, something we haven’t seen in years! More homes have sold this spring than last spring yet prices are on average 12% lower than last year.

Something that hasn’t changed this spring is that we continue to see that certain sellers are convinced that the price of their home is more important than the price of their happiness.

When a home is priced for the sole purpose of making “X” amount of money, and the seller has not considered and analyzed the current comparable and sold inventory, we can be fairly certain the home will actually be on the market for a longer period of time and that it will sell for less than if it is priced at a compelling price.
