505 North - Can You Help?

The Friends of the Barrington Area Library are in great need of volunteers for their October 2011 book sale.

Barrington community - our Friends of the Barrington Area Library desperately need your help! The Friends are a volunteer organization that raises money for the library. The primary means by which the Friends raise money is through used book sales. Due to a lack of volunteers, the Friends have already reduced their schedule of sales from three to two per year. Their next book sale is coming up on Saturday, October 22, and Sunday, October 23.

Due to an overwhelming amount of book donations, the Friends need more volunteers than ever to prepare for the sale. Can you spare a few hours? The work begins on Wednesday, October 19 at 1 PM. Volunteers are also needed on the sale days. If you can commit to a few, four-hour shifts, it would be deeply appreciated. Teens and adults are welcome. Recently retired? Looking for meaningful volunteer work while the kids are in school or while you hunt for a job? Why not try volunteering? Your work will make a positive difference right here in your own community!
