Thomas Boyle to be Honored on Anniversary of Death

Boyle, a former marine, was killed in action in Afghanistan last year while working as a security contractor.

Barrington Hills will recognize the anniversary of Thomas Boyle’s death this week. The former Barrington-area resident was killed in action in Afghanistan on June 18, 2012.

A short ceremony will be held at Barrington Hills Village Hall, 112 Algonquin Road,  on Tuesday, June 18 at 8:25 p.m. The American will be lowered to half-mast during the time of Boyle’s death one year earlier. The flag will remain at half-mast for 24 hours, and will be presented to Boyle’s family June 19 at 8:25 p.m.

The family wishes to extend an invitation to all who wish to attend this memorial service.
