Longtime Catchpenny Volunteer Dies

Leona A. Gaspar passed away April 3.

 

Born October 22, 1942 in Chicago to Leonard and Caroline Bloniarz, Leona A. Gaspar passed away peacefully April 3, 2013 in Winfield. 

Leona volunteered at Catchpenny in Barrington for over 20 years.

Leona is survived by her children Ricky (Julie) Braet, Melissa (Ken) Woltz Jr., and Maurice Braet, grandchildren; Kenny III, Kiki, and Carter Woltz, and Natalie and Tye Braet, sister Kathleen (Alphonse) Serpico, and brother John (Patricia) Bloniarz.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, George (2011), and her parents.

Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am Thursday, April 11 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela St., Barrington.  Burial in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Catchpenny Resale Shoppe, 118 E. Main St, Barrington IL 60010, in Leona’s name appreciated.
