Longtime District 220 Teacher Sue Loeschen to be Remembered at Memorial Friday

Dr. Susan Rae Loeschen, who taught second grade in District 220 for 23 years, lost her long-term battle with cancer on Dec. 16 at age 58.

Dr. Susan Rae Loeschen, loving mother, grandmother and teacher, 58, passed away on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 in Barrington. She was born in 1955 in North Chicago, to Daniel and Barbara Epifano.

Sue served a life dedicated to education, achieving National Board and master
teacher status and a doctorate, Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction. Sue worked as a 2nd grade teacher in Barrington for 23 years.

Sue is survived by her soul mate, Rick D’Ambrosio, Sr.; daughter, Lindsey [Ian] Koehler; son, Daniel Loeschen; grandchildren, Rylan and Raegan Koehler; sister, Deborah Krawczyk; nieces Jessy and Tera Krawczyk.  Sue leaves a legacy we will never forget.

A Memorial visitation will be held in celebration of Sue’s life on Friday, Dec. 20, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home 415 S. Buesching Road in Lake Zurich.
