Anne Dwyer Hope-Towne, 88, of Barrington, IL passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 in Barrington.

She was born on October 9, 1924 to Michael and Mary Dwyer in Utica, New York.

Anne was actively involved with her church throughout her life including Principal of CCD, Women’s club, and supported many fund raising events including the Guild Fashion Show for many years. She was active in the many events of all her children and found the time to support all their activities. She enjoyed traveling throughout the world. She particularly was fond of her time and friends made living in Iran and traveling throughout Europe in the mid-1970’s. 

Anne is survived by her husband of 21 years Robert S. Towne, Jr.; children, Nancy (Gary) Heinssen, Michael F. (Bonnie) Hope, Stephen J. (Michelle Aaron) Hope, Mary Kay (George) Dixon, Linda (James) Ryan and Christine (Artie) Beyhl; step-children, Robert S. Towne III, Thomas (Caprice) Towne, Bruce Towne, Steve (Annette) Towne, Eileen (Chris Emde) Towne-Emde and Beth (Joe) Lasare; 24 grandchildren;  15 step-grandchildren; over 25 great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; brother, Rev. Robert D. Dwyer; sister, Mary Beth (John) Kazlauskas; nieces, nephews and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 42 years Francis M. Hope; son, Thomas Gary Hope; brother, Rev. Michael J. Dwyer; 2 grandchildren and parents.

Visitation will be held from 5-7p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street, Barrington, IL 60010.

Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Rev. Robert D. Dwyer, will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela Street (corner of Franklin and Ela Streets), Barrington, IL. There will also be a visitation held one hour before Mass at Church.

Burial will be held at Dulaney Gardens, Timonium, MD, at 12 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Anne D. Hope-Towne, to St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela Street, Barrington, IL 60010.
