Obituary: Florian J. Kaminski

The Mass of Christian Burial for Florian J. Kaminski, 93, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 19, at St. Anne Church, 120 N. Ela St. (at the corner of Franklin St.), Barrington, where the family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Father Jack Dewes will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Born February 9, 1920, in Chicago, to the late Andrew and Lillian (nee Gort) Kaminski, he passed away peacefully, Monday, October 14, in Inverness surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Kaminski proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942-1946. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society (St. Hyacinth). He also served as a Mass Coordinator and Eucharistic Minister at St. Anne Church. Golfing, basketball and swimming were the hobbies he enjoyed most.

Mr. Kaminski is survived by his loving wife, Marie (nee Peters), whom he married May 24, 1947, in Chicago; daughters, Melanie (Brent) Bartels and Marilyn Kaminski; grandson, Steven Bartels; sister, Sylvia (Walter) Gardynski; sister-in-law, Wanda Kaminski; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Roy (Estelle), Andrew, and Harry (Virginia) Kaminski.
