Take a Swing and tackle Diabetes with NFL Legend Ted Hendricks

Former NBA player and announcer Stacey King, wrestling legend Lee Kemp and Former NFL great Ted Hendricks and are joining the American Diabetes Association (ADA) national golf outing to help fight diabetes.   Anyone can join the ADA golf outing while they help a cause that affects 23 million Americans including many children.  Ted Hendricks has joined the tournament to help many diabetes sufferers including 13 year old Jason Grapenthin of Palatine, IL as seen in this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=nO30uhVmRV8

1. American Diabetes Association to host golf outing for 10,000 participants nationwide August 9th to October 14th to raise $10,000,000.
2. Anyone can play any course at any time through the www.PlayingitForward.com website by simply uploading their score and donation.
3. All players are eligible for prizes including playing with a celebrity, tickets to major golf events, and fantasy golf trips (Grand Prize $25,000 Pebble Beach Fantasy Trip).
4. All participants get a year subscription to Golf Digest, discounts on courses, and an offer for a free custom putter and driver.  The first 1000 participants can win an expense paid trip to Miami to play the fabled Doral with Ted Hendricks. 

This event will raise money to help local and national efforts in the fight against diabetes.  The ADA is excited to have a nationwide event hosted by a technology that allows for any player at any time to enter.  The scores are automatically calculated based on handicap and slope grade (difficulty) of course to even the playing field for all participants.
