The school district would not confirm the staff member’s name, but said she has been on leave since April 16 for an internal review of operational aspects related to her department.
“It’s always a difficult situation for a school district,” Chief Communications Officer Jeff Arnett said. “We’re not able to disclose all of the details.”
Arnett did disclose that the matter involving the teacher has nothing to do with student safety.
“It’s nothing that remotely resembled inappropriate behavior with students or any circumstances that have threatened students in any way. It’s purely an operational review,” he said.

The district also confirms that operations within her department have continued to run smoothly despite her absence.
Barrington Patch has been in contact with the Barrington Police Department regarding the issue. We are waiting for information from Police Chief Jerry Libit.
