Barrington Men Face Multiple Drug Charges

Mark and Adam Bopp were arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 30, after authorities searched their home.

Two Barrington men face drug charges after .

Mark Bopp, 52 and Adam Bopp, 23, face charges of unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver. The Bopps were taken into custody Tuesday morning.

“There were multiple search warrants served in Lake, Cook and McHenry counties,” said Jeffrey Padilla, deputy director of the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group. “There were multiple investigations going on in different jurisdictions that came together.”

As a result of those search warrants, authorities recovered $4,000 in cash, three pounds of cannabis and 13 firearms. Padilla confirms the Bopp family was tied to all locations searched.

The Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group is working on the case with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Des Plaines Police Department, Naperville Police Department, North Central Narcotics Task Force, and Antioch Police Department.
