Barrington Police: 24 Teens Cited for Underage Drinking

Police cited 24 teens for consumption of alcohol by a minor July 5 at a home in the 200 block of Elm Road, according to reports.

Barrington police received a report of an intoxicated person on Northwest Highway and began doing an investigation in the area, finding a party on Elm Road, police said. 

Four 17-year-old females _two from Hoffman Estates, one from Barrington and one from South Barrington _ were among those cited. Their names were not released due to their age.  All the defendants were released with a hearing dates on July 18 in Lake County.
