Barrington Police: Attempted Home Invasion on Hager Avenue

Police release reports for the week of July 29.

Note: The following information was obtained from the Barrington police department. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

An attempted home invasion in the 100 block of north Hager Avenue was reported Aug. 3, police said.

Someone attempted to get into the home by opening a rear patio door, reports stated.

In other police reports:

  • A mailbox and driveway were damaged in the 100 block of Valley Road on Aug. 3, police said.
  • A dead bolt was stripped out of a door in the 200 block of west Station Street and discovered on July 31, reports stated.
  • Diane Lenz, 33, of Barrington, was charged with criminal trespass to land at 119 W. Hillside Ave. on July 30, police said. Lenz was released and given a Cook County court date of Aug. 26.
  • Mauro Prudencio, 26, of 1112 Denver Drive, Carpentersville, was arrested for driving on a suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to yield turning left at Hough Street and Lake Cook Road on July 21, police said.
  • George Q. Horne, 33, of 433 Northlake Road, Lakemoor, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at 201 Spring St. on July 21, police said. The subject was released pending further investigation.
