Barrington Police Blotter: Battery, DUI, Traffic

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Barrington Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Battery

  • Three individuals were arrested Nov. 12 at 209 S. Dundee Ave. and charged with battery. They included: Maurice D. Grayer, 21, of 209 S. Dundee Ave.; Karen C. Ratliff, 20, of 209 S. Dundee Ave; and Delano R. Ratliff, 21, of 9052 S. Aberdeen St., Chicago. Grayer was released on an I-bond pending a Dec. 2 court date. Karen Ratliff was released on a $10,000 I-bond pending a Dec. 2 court date. Delano Ratliff was released on a $10,000 D-bond bond pending a Dec. 2 court date.

DUI

  • David R. Lichty, 73, of 129 Grove Ln., Barrington, was arrested Nov. 16 for DUI, BAC over .08, following too closely, failure to reduce and no insurance after being involved in an accident at Ela Rd. and Route 14. He was released on bond pending a Dec. 30 court date.
  • Kelli A. Lococo, 41, of 23905 W. Bedlington Circle, Deer Park, was arrested Oct. 18 for DUI, BAC over .08, improper lane usage, improper turn and failure to signal at Main and Spring streets She was released on bond pending a Dec. 6 court date.

  • Joaly Sandoval, 21, of 5143 Francisco Ave., Chicago, was arrested Nov. 14 for no valid driver’s license, improper lane usage at Route 14 and Washington St. The suspect was released on bond pending a Dec. 19 court date.

  • A damage to property report was taken Nov, 16 in the 200 block of Maple Road.
  • A criminal damage to vehicle was reported Nov. 16 at 405 Lake Zurich Road.
  • Police took a deceptive practice report Nov. 16 at 227 N. Northwest Highway.
  • Police took a burglary report Nov. 15 at 227 N. Northwest Highway, Payless Tobacco.
  • A front license plate was reported lost or stolen Nov. 15 at 315 S. Hough Street.
  • A telephone harassment report was taken Nov. 14 at 200 Applebee Street.
  • Police took a deceptive practice report at the House of Hope Resale shop, 200 N. Hough Street.
  • Police took a theft report for missing jewelry Nov. 15 in the 1400 block of S. Barrington Road.
  • A telephone harassment report was taken Nov. 14 in the 300 block of W. Northwest Highway.
  • A lost wallet was reported Nov. 13 in the 900 block of S. Grove Avenue.
  • A lost wallet was reported Nov. 12 at 100 W. Northwest Highway.
  • Police took a domestic battery report Nov. 12 in the 200 block of S. Dundee Avenue.
  • Police took a theft report Nov. 11 in the 300 block of E. Liberty Street when a lawnmower and bags were taken.
