Barrington Police Blotter: DUI, Criminal Damage Public Fighting

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Barrington Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

DUI

  • David R. Lichty, 73, of 129 Grove Ln., Barrington, was charged Nov. 16 with driving under the influence of alcohol, BAC over .08, following too closely, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no insurance after being involved in an accident at Ela Road and Route 14. He was released on bond pending a Dec. 30 court date.

Criminal Damage
  • A 14-year-old old male from Carpentersville was charged Nov. 21 with criminal damage to public property at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St. He was released and pending a Dec. 19 court date.

Disorderly Conduct
  • A 17-year-old male from Barrington was charged Nov. 19 with disorderly conduct at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St. He was released pending a Dec. 19 court date.

Public Fighting
  • Michael H. Clarke, 18, of 21960 N. Harbor Rd., Barrington, was arrested Nov. 18 for public fighting at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St. He was released pending a Dec. 19 court date. A 17-year-old male was also arrested and charged with public fighting.

Theft
  • A 17-year-old female was charged Nov. 7 with theft at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St. She was released pending a Dec. 19 adjudication hearing.

Other
  • Police took a burglary report Nov. 23 in the 1000 block of Garlands Lane.
  • A license plate was reported lost or stolen Nov. 21 at Heinen’s, 500 N. Hough St.
  • Police took a fraud report Nov. 21 in the 400 block of June Terrace.
  • An assault was reported Nov. 21 at 510 W. Northwest Highway.
  • Police responded to the 200 block of South Dundee Avenue on Nov. 20 for a neighbor complaint.
  • A resident in the 300 block of W. Station Street reported a fraud on Nov. 18.
  • Police took a harassment by telephone report on Nov. 18 in the 400 block of Dundee Avenue.
