Barrington Police Blotter: DUI, Theft

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Barrington Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

DUI

  • Brian R. Stucka, 46, of 224 Kainer Ave., Barrington, was arrested Dec 15 for DUI at Kainer Avenue and Route 14. He was released on bond and given a Cook county court date of Feb. 10, 2013, at 9 a.m.
Theft
  • Carol C. Sapeta, 57, of 1541 Yosemite Parkway, Algonquin, was arrested Dec. 14 for theft at 150 W. Main Street. She was released and given a Cook County court date of Dec. 30, 2013, at 9 a.m.
Other Reports
  • A fraud report was taken Dec. 21 in the 700 block of Cook Street.
  • Police responded Dec. 20 to the 200 block of Beverly Road for a medical related call.
  • A wood gate and latch were damaged Dec. 18 on the west side of the Shorely Woods condominium complex.
  • Police took a report Dec. 16 for check fraud at Motorwerks, 1475 South Barrington Rd.
  • An iPhone 4S was reported stolen Dec. 16 at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St.
  • A vehicle was towed Dec. 15 from a no parking zone and hazardous location on Hough Street after an owner could not be located.
