Barrington Police: Consumption of Alcohol, Threatening Phone Calls, Harassing Mail Reported

Police release reports from the week of Sept. 9.

Note: The following information was obtained from the Barrington Police Department. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

Police charged a 15-year-old Barrington male with consumption of alcohol by a minor at 616 W. Main St. on Sept. 12, according to reports. The subject was released and given an adjudication hearing date of October 24.

A resident reported receiving threatening phone calls from an elderly family member on September 12, police said.

A high school student received harassing communication by mail on September 11, police said.

A resident made a harassment report after discovering someone had gained access to their Facebook and email accounts, police said. The victim made the report on September 9.
