Barrington Police: Thefts, DUI Arrests

Note: The following information was obtained from the Barrington police department. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

Disorderly conduct
William J. Zenaty, 42, of 520 Shorely Drive, Barrington, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer on June 16, police said. He was released on bond and given a Lake County court date of July 1.


Theft
Police responded to the Barrington Bank and Trust, 201 South Hough Street, for a theft by deception report on June 18, police said.

Theft
A wallet, cash and debit card were taken from an unlocked vehicle while parked in a
driveway in the 200 block of Carriage Trail on June 18, reports stated. The debit card was used at several locations, police said.

DUI arrest
Paul E. Zaleski, 52, of 28 W 634 W. Main St., Barrington, was arrested for driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane usage, speeding and no insurance at Route 14and Berry Road on June 19, police said. He was released on bond with a Cook County court date of July 11.
 
Damage to business
Juveniles skateboarding on the property of Morrice and Heyse Motors,
220 West Northwest Highway, trespassed on the land and caused marks on concretes on the stairs, police reports stated. The damage was discovered on June 19.

DUI charges
Ronald P. Scholtes, 71, of 18 Rosewood Drive, Hawthorn Woods, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content over .08 and improper lane usage at Route 59 and Cuba Road on June 22, police said. Scholtes was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of August 6.

No dumping allowed
William Bowden, 29, of 5205 Lear St., Wonder Lake, was charged with depositing scrap metal on village property at Chestnut and Cook Street on June 22, police said. The subject was released and given a hearing date of July 18.
