Barrington Police: Underage Drinking, DUIs, Drug Possession Arrests

Note: The following information was obtained from the Barrington police department. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

Teens charged with being under the influence
A 15 year-old male and two 16-year-old males, all from Barrington were charged with being under the influence of drugs at school, police said. The subjects were arrested May 28. They were released and given a Cook County court date of July 3.

Drug paraphernalia arrest
Alexa A. Argianas, 19, of 10 Farmington Road, South Barrington, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Argianas was arrested May 27 at Skyline Dr. and Dundee Avenue.

Graffiti reported
Someone spray painted graffiti on a traffic control box in the 100 block of West
Hillside Avenue on a sidewalk in the 200 block of South Hough Street and on a sidewalk in the tunnel near Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St.

Cannabis arrest
Brian S. Sheetz, 19, of 241Otis Road, Barrington Hills, was charged with possession of cannabis, police said. Sheetz was arrested at Skyline Drive and Dundee Avenue on May 27, reports stated. He was released and given a hearing date of June 20.

Bicyclist Struck with Can
A male juvenile was struck in the back by a full can of soda while riding a bicycle in the 200 block of Astoria Court on May 27, according to reports.

DUI arrest
Eric M. Jukiewicz, 32, of 410 W. Palatine Road, #9, Palatine, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level over .08 and illegal transportation of alcohol, police said. He was arrested at Route 14 and Ela Road on May 25, reports stated. Jukiewicz was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of June 20.

Barking dog
Margaret J. Truitt, 60, of 321 E. Hillside Ave., Barrington was charged with allowing dogs to bark and disturb/bothers the peace on May 25, reports stated. Truitt was given a court date of June 20.

DUI arrest
Robert G. Newberg, 26, of 3930 R.F.D, Long Grove, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level over .08 on May 24, police said. Newberg was stopped at Route 14 and Lake Cook Road. He was given a court date of June 20.

Underage consumption of alcohol
Barrington police arrested three people with possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor on May 22 at Route 14 and Glendale Avenue, police said. Christian B. Radar, 18, of 25985 N. Meadow View Court, Lake Barrington, a 17-year-old from Lake Barrington whose identity was not released and John F. Spica, 18, of 25986 Oakhill, Lake Barrington, according to reports. Each was released with a court date of June 20.
