The Northwest Suburbs used to be a safe place to live. Many of us fled Chicago to be safer. Because we allowed Section 8 and affordable housing, we are experiencing a huge increase of crime. Section 8 brings a bad element and should be banned. Let the people decide, put it on the next ballot whether the people want Section 8 in their community. We are spending far more than we get in federal funding, whether it's the need for more police or food pantries, it's a drain on our resources.

Kathy- I agree the feds spend WAY too much on welfare related expenditures, such as section 8, but this story is about a predator who could live anywhere, in any type of housing and have any type of job. Being a massage therapist only made it easier to find prey.

I too am puzzled how Kathy makes a leap between this crime and affordable housing. There is nothing in this article that states there is any connection between this sexual assault and residents of Section 8 housing. Kathy seems to think that anyone who needs a little help with their housing should not be living in her community. She intends to run these families out of her town by banning affordable housing.

REALLY!! Section 8 is the reason for sexual assaults. it's very concerning to me as people like you are blind to the fact that this happens everywhere. Kathy please be careful on your correlation of unfortunate events carried out by hanis people.

This is why we waited months for our license to come down before we open our business. It's totally worth it operating a clean and legit business. our business is just blocks away from there, I can't believe what has happened to the kind of business we operate. Shenergy massage of Barrington
