Carpentersville Teen Dies After Falling While Trying to Remove Snow

Stephanie Siers, 19, of Carpentersville, died Sunday after falling off a truck while helping to remove snow.

Stephanie Siers, 19, of Carpentersville, died Sunday after falling off the back of a truck while working to remove snow in Oak Brook, the Northwest Herald reports. The accident occurred at about 1 p.m. Dec. 22, near 22nd Street and Clearwater Drive.

Siers was working as a contractor hired to remove snow and ice for an Oak Brook business. After falling, the teen was unresponsive. She was transported to Elmhurst Hospital, where she later died. The driver of the truck, who reported the accident and remained on the scene, was not charged, the Northwest Herald reports. 

According to Siers' Facebook page, she attended Dundee-Crown High School and was attending Elgin Community College.
