Death Toll From I-290 Crash Remains at Four; Driver Ticketed

The Chicago Tribune is reporting the deceased are all women.

Three of the four people killed in a one-car rollover crash Thursday morning were thrown from the Ford Explorer as it rolled down an embankment on Interstate 290 near Addison Road. They were likely not wearing seat belts, according to The Chicago Tribune. 

As of 5 p.m. Thursday, the death toll remained at four; all of the deceased are women. Those killed ranged in ages from 28 to 44 years old and were all from Chicago, according to the Daily Herald.

Three male passengers, all from Chicago, were taken to area hospitals, according to the Tribune. The names of the victims have not been released.

The 31-year-old female driver was treated at the hospital and released, according to the Tribune. The Daily Herald reports the driver, Margot Santillan, was ticketed for driving without a valid license, driving without insurance, improper lane use and failure to reduce speed.
