Driver Ticketed in Barrington Truck vs. Train Crash

Alfred Atchison of California was issued several tickets for the incident that completely blocked Northwest Highway for hours.

The truck driver blamed for the train crash that blocked all lanes of Route 14 on May 23 has been ticketed, the Daily Herald reports.

Alfred Atchison, 62, of Denalo Calif., received tickets for blocking a railroad crossing, disobeying a train signal and following too closely, the newspaper reports.

The semitrailer truck Atchison was driving was struck by a Canadian National train last month, sending the back end of the trailer across the tracks and all lanes of Northwest Highway. Multiple cars were involved in the crash that completely stopped traffic for hours.
