Former Barrington High School Student Not Guilty of Rape

A 20-year-old Palatine resident has been acquitted of charges he raped a girl in 2009, the Daily Herald reported.

Bruce Arthur Johnston was a senior at Barrington High School when a 17-year-old girl accused him of assaulting her. The Daily Herald reported that Johnston was found not guilty by McHenry County Judge Joseph Condon this week.

Johnston still faces a misdemeanor charge ofcriminal sexual abuse involving another girl who was 14 at the time, the Daily Herald reported. The court date on that charge is Aug. 22.
