Items Taken From Unlocked Car, Bicycle Stolen

Reports from the Barrington Police Department.

Aug. 7: James V. Wechet, age 50, of 565 Carl Ave. #203, Barrington, IL was arrested for driving on a suspended license, improper lane usage and unlawful possession of suspended driver’s license at Route 14 and Prospect Ave.

Aug. 7: A vehicle was tagged abandoned in the 700 block of South Cook Street.

Aug. 7: Mitchel L. Misik, age 50, of 5515 Oakwood Drive, Oakwood Hills, Ill. was arrested for DUI, failure to signal and no insurance at Route 14 and Hillside Road. The subject was released on bond and given a Cook County court date on October 2, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.

Aug. 8: A bicycle was found at the Station Campus Middle School baseball field.

Aug. 9: An unlocked Trek bicycle valued at $2,000 was reported stolen from an alley behind 720 South Northwest Highway.

Aug. 9: Numerous items were removed from an unlocked vehicle while parked in the lot at Good Shepherd Health and Fitness Center, 1301 South Barrington Road. The reported value of the items is in excess of $30,000.

Aug. 10: Peter N. Niro, age 18, of 600 Chateaux Borne, Barrington, Ill. was charged with underage consumption of alcohol, disobeying traffic signal, driving without headlights, no insurance and driver’s license not on person at Route 59 and Main St. The subject was released on an I‐bond and given a Cook County court date of August 29, 2012 at 9 a.m.

Aug. 10: A 17-year- old female from Barrington was charged with no valid driver’s license and failure to yield turning left after being involved in an accident at Grant Street and Lake Cook Road. The subject was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of August 29, 2012 at 9 a.m.

Aug. 10: A coin purse was found at the Kaleidoscoops Ice Cream Shop at 106 West Main Street.

Aug. 11: Bonifacio Alvarez, age 24, of 1916 Bristol Court Carpentersville, Ill. was arrested for no valid driver’s license and failure to yield turning left at Route 59 and Route 14. The subject was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of September 19, 2012 at 9 a.m.
