UPDATE: Man Killed by Train on Father's Day Identified
The Lake County Coroner's Office says it's still unclear if the incident was a suicide.
UPDATE June 27 3:30 p.m.:
The Lake County Coroner's Office tells Barrington Patch the investigation in the Ghaussy death is still ongoing. For this reason, they cannot reveal if the incident has been labeled as a suicide, an accident or other another cause. The investigation should be wrapped up by mid-July. We will have more information for the public at that time.

The person hit and killed by a Metra train on June 17 has been identified.

The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified the deceased as 44-year-old Daoud Ghaussy of Barrington.
The Lake County Coroner's Office says Ghaussy's cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries. The incident is still under investigation, and authorities say they don't know if the death was suicide or accidental at this time.
The Lake County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation. They have not released any information to Barrington Patch.
