One Injured in Barrington House Fire

Sixteen fire departments responded to the Box Alarm fire on Hager Avenue on Jan. 22.

 

One person was injured in a house fire on North Hager Avenue in Barrington Tuesday night.

The Barrington Fire Department arrived at 147 N. Hager 9:41 p.m. to find the fire was worse than expected, and was upgraded to a Box Alarm. Fire crews inside of the building said the flames spread quickly and were seen through the roof.

Two adults and two children were inside of the home at the time of the fire. One minor injury was reported and was treated at the scene. The family dogs were also rescued from the basement without injury.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The amount of damage done to the home has not yet been reported.
