Police Arrest Algonquin Man — 'Top Ten Fugitive' — in Fox River Grove

A 36-year-old Algonquin man — who was listed as a top ten fugitive with the McHenry County Sheriff's Office — was arrested this past week in Fox River Grove, according to a sheriff's office press release.

Frank J. Naples was wanted for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and a failure to appear arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office Apprehension Unit along with the United States Marshal Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Frank Naples on Nov. 18 at a home in Fox River Grove.

The sheriff's office obtained an arrest warrant for Naples on Sept. 27 for the crime of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. Charges allege he possessed and sold heroin during a McHenry County Sheriff’s Office undercover operation.

On Sept. 28, members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Apprehension Unit initiated a fugitive investigation on Naples after they learned Naples had fled the McHenry County area and was possibly out of state, according to the news release.

A second warrant was obtained for Naples for failing to appear in court on an earlier possession of controlled substance charge. As a result, on Nov. 19, 2013, Naples was added to the McHenry County’s “Top Ten Most Wanted” list.

Naples was taken to the McHenry County Correctional Facility following his arrest. A $60,000 bond has been set for Naples and his is next expected in court on Feb. 21.
