Police Blotter: Barrington Man Arrested for Identity Theft

Reports from the Barrington Police Department.

No Valid Driver’s License

On April 8, 24-year-old Fidel Sanchez of Crystal Lake was arrested for driving without a valid license and speeding. He is due in court on May 2.

Elgin resident Victor Alvarado-Gonzalez, 29, was arrested for driving without a valid license, no insurance, and speeding on April 18. He will appear in court on May 9.

Possession of Drugs

Wauconda resident Christina Engers, 21, was charged with possession of cannabis on April 8. Her court date is set for May 20.

DUI

Adam C. Engers, 26 of Wauconda, was arrested on April 8 for driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying traffic control device and improper lane usage. His court date is scheduled for May 20.

Natalya Shelukhina, 25 of Wheeling, was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage on April 17. Her court date is set for May 9.

Underage Drinking

A 17-year-old Barrington High School boy was charged with underage consumption of alcohol at the school on April 16. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 2.

Theft

A 15-year-old boy from Barrington, and another 15-year-old boy from Lake Barrington were arrested for stealing a cell phone at the high school on April 19. He will appear in court for the charges on June 3.

Aggravated Identity Theft

Barrington resident Michael J. Ficenec, 57, was arrested on April 19 for aggravated identity theft and possession of personal identification of another person.

Damaged Property

On April 19, police were called to 202 South Cook Street for a damaged property report. The glass on the west side door to the building had been punched through.

Disorderly Conduct

A 17-year-old Lake Barrington boy, and another 17-year-old from Carptersville were arrested for disorderly conduct at Barrington High School on April 20. Both boys are scheduled to appear in court for the incidents on June 3.
